UFC 307: Roman Dolidze vs. Kevin Holland: Live round-by-round updates

Roman Dolidze will lock horns with Kevin Holland later tonight (Oct. 5) on the main card of UFC 307.

Dolidze (13-3) has produced mixed results lately, going 3-2 in his last five fights. However, as they say, you are only as good as your last fight, and 'The Caucasian's' last fight was a banger.

He came away with a unanimous decision win after stepping up against light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith at UFC 303 on short notice. Despite this impressive result, it's been a while since the 36-year-old got a win in his own division.

Although Holland (26-11-1) was once touted as the next big thing in the UFC, his career has suffered numerous hiccups in recent years. With a record of 3-4 in his last seven fights, a win against Dolidze would be crucial for 'Trailblazer' to keep his position on the divisional rankings.

Per the bookmakers, Holland is a -162 favorite over Dolidze (+136 underdog) for the matchup.

UFC 307: Roman Dolidze vs. Kevin Holland

Round 1

Dolidze tries to cut off the cage and force Holland onto the wall but 'Trailblazer' is employing constant leg kicks to keep his opponent at range. Dolidze connects with a right hand.

'Trailblazer' is loading up on his punches, but is yet to land a debilitating shot. Dolidze explodes and takes his opponent down. He gets top control and peppers his opponent with ground and pound.

Holland is having a hard time posturing back up. The ground control time in adding up for 'The Caucasian'. Holland attempts an arm bar. He fails to lock it in and his opponent rolls him over to gain top control. Holland seems to have hurt himself during the sequence, and Dolidze unloads a barrage on his opponent.

As the closing bell rings, Holland reveals that he broke his ribs during the sequence.

Our score: 10-9 Dolidze.

Holland's coach stops the fights in between rounds, realizing his fighter is not fit to continue.
