UFC 311 bonuses and aftermath: Merab Dvalishvili bags $50K after tying with GSP, Islam Makhachev breaks Khabib Nurmagomedov's record, and more

UFC 311, the promotion's first pay-per-view event of 2025, lived up to the hype and delivered several exciting moments throughout the night. The live gate revenue for the event was $10.2 million and 18,370 people were in attendance.

In the main event, Islam Makhachev fought Renato Moicano for the lightweight belt. Makhachev ran through his opponent and submitted him in the first round.

With the victory, Makhachev now has the third-highest submissions (8) in the promotion's 155-pound division.

The Dagestani now also has the most title fight wins in the lightweight division. By successfully defending his throne four times, Makhachev has broken Khabib Nurmagomedov's record for the most successful lightweight title defenses.

With 15 straight victories, the Dagestani now also has the third-longest undefeated streak in UFC history.

The co-main event featured a thrilling bantamweight title bout between Merab Dvalishvili and Umar Nurmagomedov. The fight was a back-and-forth affair where both fighters had moments of success. The contest went the 25-minute distance and ended in a unanimous decision victory for 'The Machine'.

During the fight, the bantamweight champion surpassed MMA legend Georges St. Pierre for the most takedowns in UFC history (91).

The bantamweight clash electrified the crowd in attendance and as a result, was honored with the 'Fight of the Night' honors. Both fighters received an extra sum of $50,000 each.

Former champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill locked horns on the main card of UFC 311. The fight was action-packed with several exciting moments from both athletes. In the end, Prochazka reigned supreme as he scored a knockout victory in the third round.

Prochazka is now tied with Dustin Jacoby, Kennedy Nzechukwu and Carlos Ulberg for the most finishes (5) in the 205-pound division since 2020.

'Denisa's performance earned him a 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000.

Jailton Almeida made quick work of Serghei Spivac and scored a TKO victory in the opening round of their clash. He was also awarded a $50,000 bonus for his efforts.

One interesting thing to note is that multiple undefeated fighters like Umar Nurmgomedov, Payton Talbott, Rinya Nakamura and Clayton Carpenter suffered their first professional loss at UFC 311.
