Charles Oliveira is a man with options, with a potential BMF title fight against Max Holloway among them. Such a bout has drawn the attention of one of the UFC's most popular cutmen, who seems interested in working as the matchup's cutman, if it comes to fruition.
While 'do Bronx' is eager to face Islam Makhachev for UFC lightweight gold, he recognizes that the Dagestani star may only be willing to fight in October. If a matchup is only possible later in the year, he is more than willing to take on Holloway, who responded with a suggestion for an International Fight Week bout.
A matchup between the pair is sensible, as the UFC lightweight division is in desperate need of clarity. Everyone in the top five has already lost to either Makhachev or Tsarukyan recently, is coming off a different loss or, in Tsarukyan's case, withdrew from a title fight with just 24 hours until the event.

No one is in a favorable position. Fortunately, Holloway's willingness to face Oliveira to secure a title shot could help solve the current situation at 155 pounds. And if Brad Tate, a cutman known for his exaggerated facial expressions and humor, has anything to say about it, he'll be the bout's cutman.
Tate popped up in the comment section of the Instagram post reporting on the potential Oliveira vs. Holloway bout. However, instead of words, he used a GIF consisting of an iconic scene from the 'Tombstone' film, in which Val Kilmer's character, Doc Holliday, says the following:
"I'm yyour huckleberry."
The quote simply means that the person using it is best-suited for whichever job is being referenced. In this case, it is working as a cutman for the UFC.
Charles Oliveira vs. Max Holloway is a matchup that's already happened
Nearly 10 years ago, Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway locked horns at featherweight. It was long before either man had touched UFC gold, with Oliveira going on to conquer the lightweight division, while Holloway's streak would take him to featherweight supremacy.
Check out Charles Oliveira's firs loss to Max Holloway:
Their bout ended in anticlimactic fashion, with Oliveira sustaining an esophagus injury less than two minutes into round one, leading to a deflating TKO win for Holloway. Now, both men will look to erase the memory of their first encounter with a better clash for Holloway's BMF title.
