Hailey Cowan-Brennan is set to make her first walk to the octagon at UFC Vegas 70 against Ailin Perez this weekend. Ahead of her promotional debut, the 31-year-old American has already charted a course toward facing the top-ranked fighters in her division by fighting out her first and second contracts in the next two years.
'All Hail' secured her first contract with the UFC after her successful outing at Dana White's Contender Series 2022 (Episode #4), where she defeated Claudia Leite via decision. With seven wins in her last eight fights and a pro-MMA record of 7-2, the Invicta and LFA alumni will undoubtedly be one to look out for.
In an exclusive interview with James Lynch of Sportskeeda MMA, Hailey Cowan-Brennan outlined how she plans to build her resume in the UFC and fight the cream of the crop in the women's bantamweight division as soon as possible. She stated:

"I want to knock out my whole first contract this year, that would be ideal. Just three fights a year, you know, that's ideal. I would like to do that and then renegotiate. I would like to knock out my second contract in a year too because if I can go get six wins then that puts me fighting at the top."

Hailey Cowan-Brennan predicts a possible finish against Ailin Perez at UFC Vegas 70
Hailey Cowan-Brennan is confident in her fighting abilities to get the job done on her UFC debut this weekend.
For her first assignment as a UFC fighter, the 31-year-old American will face promotional sophomore Ailin Perez in a bantamweight contest on February 25 at the UFC Apex. Despite the pair having a similar professional record of 7-2, 'All Hail' is positive about making a mark on her debut.
In the same aforementioned exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Hailey Cowan-Brennan shared her thoughts on Perez and shared her predictions for their upcoming matchup:
"I say this with all the respect in the world, I feel like she's the lesser version of the last girl I fought. She's really, really similar to her, just a little sloppier but more aggressive."
Cowan-Brennan continued:
"I think she's probably going to try to grab me. I'm going to try to keep the distance a little bit, but I want to grapple too... I imagine cuts with elbows and knees and then maybe a submission or a ground-and-pound finish. Who knows? I'll take what I can get."
