A flyweight showdown between Erin Blanchfield and former UFC champion Rose Namajunas graced the co-main event slot of UFC Edmonton. The event was held on Nov. 2 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada.
Namajunas walked into the event with a two-fight win streak over Amanda Ribas and Tracy Cortez. Blanchfield, on the other hand, entered the bout with an intent to bounce back from her loss to Manon Fiorot.
The fight stayed on the feet in the first round as both fighters found success with their strikes.

Namajunas continued to use her boxing skills in the second round. Blanchfield tried to take a grappling approach but did not find much success.
The two flyweights turned up the aggression in the third round.
'Thug' and Blanchfield came out swinging in the fifth round and traded several heavy strikes.
'Cold Blooded' managed to score a takedown and proceeded to get into the crucifix position.
The fight went the five-round distance and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Blanchfield. All three judges scored the bout 48-47 in favor of the 25-year-old.
