YouTuber-turned-boxing star Logan Paul recently hinted at a "major announcement" with UFC President Dana White. These reports surfaced just days after his younger brother Jake signed a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) to make his MMA debut.
Paul released a collection of video snippets to social media regarding him possibly competing in the UFC, albeit it is unclear what the announcement will be. The video compilation featured clips of UFC President Dana White stating that Paul could possibly compete in the UFC owing to his wrestling background, color commentator Joe Rogan praising his skills, and veteran octagon announcer Bruce Buffer introducing him as a future champion.
Enthusiastic fight fans began speculating as to what the announcement would be, while others began acting as matchmakers for Logan Paul. One fan asserted that Paul could possibly defeat emerging UFC star Paddy Pimblett, who has previously engaged in verbal tussles with the YouTuber:

"You could probably beat Paddy Pimblett tbh [to be honest]"
American actor and comedian Michael Rapaport wrote:
"You’re gonna fight a small guy that’s over 40?"
Another fan questioned his decision to sign with the UFC, bearing in mind that his younger brother has been at loggerheads with the top brass of the promotion over unfair fighter pay and welfare:
"So if your brother keeps trying to get ufc fighters paid more (which they deserve) he’s offering them contracts worth millions of pounds surely you are not about to sign to the ufc? If he can get these fighters the money he’s promising surely you would fight Under his company?"
Meanwhile, others pointed out that the UFC will be signing a deal with Logan Paul's Prime Hydration Energy Drink:
"He’s just announcing his prime deal relax."

The feud between Paddy Pimblett and Logan Paul
Paddy Pimblett and Logan Paul have engaged in several verbal fencings in the past.
Paul and Pimblett began feuding after the YouTuber challenged the UFC lightweight contender. Paul asserted that he was capable of defeating Pimblett. During an episode on the podcast True Geordie, Logan Paul declared that he would be "taking out" the UK MMA star.
Paddy Pimblett responded to Paul's remarks prior to UFC London by saying:
"A couple of months ago he messaged me calling me a clout chaser – who’s the clout chaser now son? Who’s clout chasing who? Everyone knows what I’d do to him. He’s wrestled in high school, but I have a division one wrestler come over from the US, who has wrestled at 84 Kilos out of North Carolina, he comes in and wrestles with me. I wrestle with better people. He wouldn’t be able to take me down, I’d put him on his back."
