Allen and Kattar went toe-to-toe in a featherweight scrap in the main event of UFC Fight Night 213. On paper, the bout was expected to be an exciting matchup, but Kattar suffered a knee injury in the opening round of the fight.
'The Boston Finisher' managed to survive the round but a leg kick from Allen in the second round rendered him unable to compete. The fight was thus halted and 'Almighty' was declared the winner by TKO.
Arnold is now on a 10-fight win streak in the UFC. In his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, 'Almighty' called out the featherweight king:
"Volkanovski asked the guys to make a statement and it's another injury, TKO by injury. I can't really ask for a title shot off this. Maybe give me the interim job... If Volkanovski's gonna be out for a while, you know, going up in weight, give me the interim shot, you know? I feel like I deserve it... Okay, give me the title shot. Come on, 'Volk'."

Alexander Volkanovski is expected to fight Islam Makhachev next
Alexander Volkanovski was in attendance when Islam Makhachev defeated Charles Oliveira to win the vacant lightweight title at UFC 280. After the fight, Makhachev, along with Khabib Nurmagomedov, challenged Volkanovski for a lightweight showdown in Australia.
'The Great' then entered the octagon and accepted Makhahcev's challenge. Volkanovski believes the newly crowned lightweight champ is underestimating him and this could backfire on the Dagestani.
During an interview with Submission Radio, Alexander Volkanovski claimed:
"It's funny, I feel like he's underestimating me in a sense where I'm just a featherweight, a small featherweight. How am I gonna be able to handle his strength? You know what I mean? That's how he's looking at it. Which is gonna be a shock when we face off."
