UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland: How many undefeated fighters compete this weekend?

UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland takes place this weekend, with middleweight contenders Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland headlining the card. However, Las Vegas will host zero unbeaten fighters during the entire event.

Four fighters competing at the Fight Night event currently only have one loss on their professional MMA records. Bryan Battle, Maheshate, Amir Albazi and Damir Ismagulov all have impressive records.

Battle (8-1) is set to take on Rinat Fakhretdinov in the 170lbs division. He will look to remain unbeaten in the UFC after winning his first three bouts in the organization.

Maheshate (9-1) earned his UFC contract via Dana White's Contender Series and won his organizational debut against Steve Garcia. The Chinese fighter is scheduled to face Rafa García this weekend.

Amir Albazi (15-1) has looked dangerous since joining the UFC back in 2020. The Iraqi fighter made quick-work of both Malcolm Gordon and Francisco Figueiredo, beating Zhalgas Zhumagulov via unanimous decision. Albazi takes on Alessandro Costa in the 125lbs division in Las Vegas.

A lightweight on the rise in the UFC, Damir Ismagulov (24-1), looks to get one of his biggest wins in the organization when taking on Arman Tsarukyan. Both fighters are ranked in the lightweight division, with Ismagulov sitting 12th and Tsarukyan currenlty the 9th ranked fighter.

Ismagulov will be hoping a win against the young fighter will earn him a spot in the top ten in the UFC. However, Tsarukyan has only lost against tough opponents such as Mateusz Gamrot and Islam Makhachev in the UFC, so it will prove to be a tricky test.

UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland: Who is the betting favorite in the main event?

As mentioned, Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland will headline the UFC Fight Night card this weekend. It seems the MMA betting community cannot decide a clear favorite in the main event, with the odds extremely close between the two fighters.

Strickland is currently a narrow favorite, currently priced at -115 according to DraftKings. Cannonier is only slightly an underdog in the Las Vegas main event, with the middleweight currently priced at -105.

Both Cannonier and Strickland are currently on a losing streak in the UFC after losing their latest outings. Israel Adesanya managed to get the better of 'Killa Gorilla' at UFC 276 and Alex Pereira knocked-out Strickland during the same event.
