The MMA juggernaut is headed to the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, for its next pay-per-view event, UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2. The action will go down this Saturday, April 8, with a series of exciting matchups lined up for MMA fans.
Headlining the pay-per-view card is a much-anticipated rematch between the new middleweight king Alex Pereira and former long-time titleholder Israel Adesanya.
Pereira, who had a pair of victories over Adesanya from their Glory Kickboxing days, picked up a fifth-round TKO win over his rival when they battled inside the octagon last time out in November.

'Poatan' will look to make his first successful title defense as he aims to go 4-0 against his long-time rival in combat sports.
Meanwhile, Adesanya will be determined to get revenge against the Brazilian and reclaim his 185-pound crown after falling to a stoppage defeat last time out. Another loss for 'The Last Stylebender' will be a major blow to his career, and it could put him out of the title picture for some time.

The co-main event of the night will feature an intriguing welterweight showdown between former title challengers as No.5-ranked contender Gilbert Burns takes on No.11-ranked Jorge Masvidal.
'Gamebred' will enter the bout on the back of a three-fight skid. The Miami native suffered back-to-back defeats to former champion Kamaru Usman through 2020-21 followed by a unanimous decision loss to Colby Covington last year.
Meanwhile, Burns has alternated wins and losses in his last four UFC appearances and is fresh off an impressive first-round submission victory over Neil Magny in January.
In another exciting matchup, Kevin Holland will square off against Santiago Ponzinibbio in a clash of welterweights. The main card will also play host to a bantamweight showdown between Rob Font and Adrian Yanez.
The potential main card opener of the pay-per-view card this Saturday will see the highly touted Raul Rosas Jr. return to action to take on Christian Rodriguez in a bantamweight contest.
