The UFC is headed to Perth, Australia, on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024 (U.S. time) for the next pay-per-view event, UFC 305: du Plessis vs. Adesanya.
The card will be headlined by a much-anticipated middleweight title showdown between reigning champ Dricus du Plessis and former long-time titleholder Israel Adesanya.
Dricus du Plessis earned the title opportunity by scoring an impressive TKO victory over former titleholder Robert Whittaker at UFC 290.

In the subsequent outing, 'Stillknocks' captured the 185-pound strap by edging out a split decision win over Sean Strickland at UFC 297.
The South African will look to make his first successful title defense when he duels with former champion Israel Adesanya this Saturday.
Adesanya, meanwhile, is set to make his first UFC appearance since dropping the title to Sean Strickland at UFC 293. 'The Last Stylebender' has gone 1-2 in his last three fights.

No.4-ranked flyweight contender Kai Kara-France will also feature on the UFC 305 card as he battles the No.7-ranked Steve Erceg in the co-main event.
Kara-France will look to get back on track after suffering back-to-back losses in his last two outings. The New Zealander most recently dropped a split decision to Amir Albazi in June 2023.
Erceg, meanwhile, had an 11-fight win streak snapped in a title-fight loss to Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 301. The Aussie is set to make his fifth promotional appearance on Saturday.
In another intriguing matchup, No.5-ranked lightweight Mateusz Gamrot will square off against Dan Hooker, who is positioned six spots below the Polish fighter at No.11.
Also on the UFC 305 main card, Tai Tuivasa will lock horns with Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a clash of heavyweights. Meanwhile, Li Jingliang will take on Carlos Prates in a welterweight contest.
