UFC Fight Tonight: Is there a UFC card on Saturday, August 24, 2024?

The UFC is headed back to its APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 24, 2024, for the upcoming card, UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Borralho (also known as UFC Vegas 96 and UFC on ESPN 62).

The main event of UFC Vegas 96 will see former middleweight title challenger Jared Cannonier square off against divisional standout Caio Borralho.

Cannonier is coming off a fourth-round TKO loss to Nassourdine Imavov in June and is set to make a quick turnaround for this matchup. ‘The Killa Gorilla’ will headline his fourth straight UFC event this Saturday.

Borralho, meanwhile, boasts a 6-0 record inside the octagon and is coming off a stunning second-round knockout win over Paul Craig at UFC 301. ‘The Natural’ will hope to keep the momentum going as he faces one of the sternest challenges of his career to date.

UFC Fight Tonight: Who else is fighting on the UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Borralho card?

No.9-ranked women's strawweight contender Angela Hill will also feature on the UFC Vegas 96 card as she faces the No.11-ranked Tabatha Ricci in the night's co-main event.

Hill picked up the first submission win of her career by dispatching Luana Pinheiro in May. The Californian will hope to carry that momentum into her upcoming fight and continue her climb up the division.

Ricci, on the other hand, had a four-fight win streak snapped in a split decision loss to Lupita Godinez last November. However, ‘Baby Shark’ rebounded with a narrow decision win against Tecia Pennington last time out in May.

Also on the card, Kaan Ofli will square off against Mairon Santos in a TUF 32 featherweight finale, followed by a middleweight finale between Ryan Loder and Robert Valentin.

In another exciting matchup, No.12-ranked welterweight contender Neil Magny will take on Michael Morales.

Additionally, Edmen Shahbazyan will go head-to-head with Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight clash to kick off the UFC Vegas 96 main card.
