The MMA juggernaut is headed to the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, for its next pay-per-view card, UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski. The action is set to go down this Saturday, February 11, with a series of exciting matchups on tap.
The card will be headlined by the highly-anticipated super fight between defending lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski.
'The Great' has been unstoppable at 145 lbs with wins over the likes of Jose Aldo, Chan Sung Jung, and Brian Ortega. He also has a trio of victories over Max Holloway. The Australian now has his sights set on becoming the next two-division champion in the promotion as he takes on the new lightweight king.

Alexander Volkanovski's No.1 pound-for-pound status will also be on the line, which makes this matchup all the more exciting. Islam Makhachev is currently the No.2 pound-for-pound fighter in the promotion and is looking to make his first successful title defense following his phenomenal submission victory over Charles Olivera last October at UFC 280.

With Alexander Volkanovski moving up a weight class in pursuit of a second title at 155 lbs, the card will also feature an interim featherweight title showdown between No.2-ranked contender Yair Rodriguez and No.5-seeded Josh Emmett.
Emmett is riding a five-fight win streak into this bout, which includes two finishes. In his most recent outing last June, the American edged out a close split decision win over Calvin Kattar. Rodriguez, on the other hand, walked away with an uneventful TKO victory after Brian Ortega suffered an early shoulder injury in their matchup last July.
In another exciting bout, Jack Della Maddalena will return to the octagon hoping to pick up his 14th consecutive victory as he goes up against Randy Brown in a welterweight showdown.
Also on the main card, Justin Tafa will lock horns with Parker Porter in a clash of heavyweights. The potential main card opener of the pay-per-view card this Saturday will see Jimmy Crute take on Alonzo Menifield in a light heavyweight contest.
