UFC Fight Tonight: Is there a UFC card on Saturday, June 29, 2024?

The UFC is returning to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 29, 2024 (U.S. time) for the upcoming pay-per-view event, UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2.

Headlining the card will be an intriguing light heavyweight title rematch between reigning champion Alex Pereira and former titleholder Jiri Prochazka.

Both men are coming off impressive knockout wins and took the fight on short notice after Conor McGregor withdrew from the main event bout against Michael Chandlee due to an injury.

Pereira captured the light heavyweight title after stopping former champion Jiri Prochazka in their first meeting at UFC 295 in November. The Brazilian defended his crown by knocking out Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 in April.

Just two months after his thrilling victory over Hill, 'Poatan' will return to the octagon hoping to make a second successful title defense against a former foe.

Jiri Prochazka, meanwhile, scored a stunning TKO victory over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300 to rebound from his title fight loss to Pereira. The Czech fighter will hope to reclaim the title and avenge his only defeat in the UFC.

UFC Fight Tonight: Who else is fighting on the UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2 card?

The No.3-ranked UFC featherweight contender Brian Ortega will also feature on the pay-per-view card as he battles divisional standout Diego Lopes in the co-main event.

Ortega dropped a hard-fought unanimous decision to then-champ Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266 in 2021. In his subsequent outing in July 2022, 'T-City' suffered a TKO loss against Yair Rodriguez due to a nasty shoulder injury earlier in the fight.

However, the Californian avenged that loss by submitting Rodriguez in a rematch earlier this year and will hope to reinsert himself in the title picture when he faces a young prospect on Saturday.

Diego Lopes, meanwhile, received major praise for his remarkable performance against undefeated contender Movsar Evloev in his octagon debut. Despite the loss, the Brazilian quickly solidified himself as a rising star with three consecutive first-round finishes thereafter.

Lopez will look to keep the momentum going when he faces a top-five opponent this weekend.

The main card of UFC 303 will also feature an exciting light heavyweight showdown between former title challenger Anthony Smith and Roman Dolidze.

In another intriguing battle, Mayra Bueno Silva will take on Macy Chiasson in a clash of women's bantamweights.

To kick off the UFC 303 main card, undefeated welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry will square off against Michael Page in a thrilling showdown to kick off the main card.
