The MMA juggernaut is heading to The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Paradise, Nevada, to put on UFC Fight Night: Yan vs. Dvalishvili (also known as UFC Vegas 71). The action is set to go down this Saturday, March 11, with a series of exciting matchups lined up for MMA fans.
The headliner of UFC Vegas 71 will pit former bantamweight titleholder Petr Yan against surging contender Merab Dvalishvili, a training partner of current 135-pound champion Aljamain Sterling.
'No Mercy' will enter his upcoming headliner bout this weekend on the heel of two consecutive defeats. In his latest octagon appearance last October, the Russian wound up on the wrong side of a controversial decision against Sean O’Malley. 'The Machine,' meanwhile, is riding an eight-fight win streak into this matchup, with his latest triumph coming over Jose Aldo back in August. Both fighters will take center stage this Saturday, hoping to boost their odds of securing a title shot.

Who else is fighting on the UFC Fight Night: Yan vs. Dvalishvili card?
Rising heavyweight prospect Alexandr Romanov will also feature on the card as he looks to bounce back from the sole loss of his professional MMA career. The Moldovan most recently dropped a majority decision to Marcin Tybura in August after stopping all of his past 15 opponents.
Ranked No.14 in the division, Romanov also has the opportunity to break into the heavyweight top 10 as he takes on the No.8-seeded Alexander Volkov in the night's co-main event. 'Drago,' meanwhile, is coming off an impressive first-round TKO win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik last June and will look to carry that momentum into his upcoming bout on Saturday.
The main card of the UFC Fight Night will also play host to an intriguing showdown between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann. Also on the card, Ricardo Ramos will go up against Austin Lingo in a featherweight contest.
In another exciting matchup, Said Nurmagomedov will return to action to take on Jonathan Martinez in a clash of bantamweights. The potential main card opener will see Vitor Petrino lock horns with Anton Turkalj in a light heavyweight showdown.
