The UFC is headed to the Sphere in Paradise, Las Vegas, United States on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 (U.S. time) for its next pay-per-view event, UFC 306: O'Malley vs. Dvalishvili (Riyadh Season Noche UFC).
The card will feature two title fights atop the bill and a series of other high-stakes matchups involving top contenders and prospects across different weight classes.
Headlining the event will be a long-anticipated bantamweight title showdown between reigning champion Sean O’Malley and the No.1-ranked contender Merab Dvalishvili.
O’Malley captured the 135-pound title with a vicious second-round knockout of Dvalishvili’s teammate, Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292.

In his subsequent outing, 'Sugar' edged out Marlon Vera at UFC 299 to avenge the only loss on his professional MMA record. O'Malley now looks to notch a second title defense against a streaking opponent who has been chasing him for years.
Merab Dvalishvili, meanwhile, made a 0-2 start to his UFC career but has since won 10 in a row. The Georgian's last three victories came over former UFC champions with his latest triumph coming over Henry Cejudo at UFC 298 in February.

UFC women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will also feature on the card as she battles former long-time titleholder Valentina Shevchenko in the first-ever women's trilogy bout in the night's co-main event.
The pair first clashed at UFC 285, when Grasso defeated 'Bullet' with a shocking fourth-round submission. In a rematch last September, Grasso battled Shevchenko to a controversial split draw to retain the title.
The two women have an opportunity to settle the score and bring the highly-anticipated trilogy to a definitive end.
In another intriguing matchup, former featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega will square off against divisional standout Diego Lopes.
The card will also feature a lightweight showdown between Daniel Zellhuber and Esteban Ribovics.
To kick off the UFC 306 main card, Ronaldo Rodriguez will go head-to-head with Ode Osbourne in a flyweight contest.
