The world's premier MMA promotion is headed back to its Apex facility for UFC fight tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot (also known as UFC Vegas 79 and UFC Fight Night 228) will feature a series of thrilling matchups involving top contenders from different divisions.
In the main event No.6-ranked lightweight contender Rafael Fiziev will square off against Mateusz Gamrot, who is placed right below the Azerbaijani at No.7.
Rafael Fiziev ended up on the wrong side of a majority decision verdict against Justin Gaethje after a hard-fought battle at UFC 286 in March. Prior to his loss to Gaethje, 'Ataman' was on a six-fight win streak, which included three knockout finishes. The Azerbaijani will hope to get back to his winning ways when he returns to the octagon this Saturday.

Mateusz Gamrot, meanwhile, proved himself as a contender when he stepped in for Dan Hooker to face Jalin Turner at UFC 285 in March. 'Gamer' utilized his superior wrestling and grappling skills to counter his opponent's reach advantage and ultimately edge out a split decision win.
The Polish fighter is 5-1 in his last six fights and will look to continue his climb up the rankings with a win over Fiziev.

Dan Ige, on the other hand, is coming off back-to-back victories. '50K' knocked out Damon Jackson earlier this year before edging out a unanimous decision win over a game Nate Landwehr at UFC 289 in June.
Also on the card, No.8-ranked women's strawweight contender Marina Rodriguez will square off against Michelle Waterson-Gomez, who is placed four spots below the Brazilian at No.12.
In another intriguing matchup, Bryan Battle will meet AJ Fletcher in a clash of welterweights.
The potential main card opener will see Ricardo Ramos take on Charles Jourdain in a featherweight showdown.
