During a recent fan interaction on X, UFC middleweight contender Chris Curtis shed light on a question posted by a fan asking the names of MMA fighters who only train during fight camps. Curtis replied:

Curtis entered the UFC stepping in on 24-hour notice to take on Phil Hawes. He won the fight by knockout in the first round. Since then, he has amassed a 5-3 record in the organization with one no-contest. He started his 2024 campaign in January with a split decision win over Marc-Andre Barriault and dropped a split decision against Brendan Allen in their rematch in April.
'The Action Man' was a busy man on X recently, taking fan scrutiny head-on and engaging in several socio-political exchanges. He also lashed out at a fan who picked him in a thread of 'one fighter to lose the rest of the fights in their career'. Curtis replied:
"I mean, this is pretty much shouting into the wind that you have a small pen*s and are easily confused and frightened by people who are different or hold different beliefs than you. Weird. Couldn't be me, though..."

Chris Curtis reveals training shift that makes him feel he has the "horsepower" for the UFC middleweight division
Chris Curtis was scheduled to take on Kevin Holland at UFC 307 on Oct. 5 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
However, Curtis was forced to pull out of the contest due to "a fracture" on his left foot that he sustained while training with Caio Barralho. He also mentioned that he has a Lisfranc injury that affects the Lisfranc (tarsometatarsal) joint complex in the middle of the foot.
That said, Curtis recently revealed on X that he developed a newfound passion for strength and conditioning training, which has been working in his favor. He wrote:
"Between the hamstring and foot injury, I've just been doing S&C pretty much since my last fight. I have to say I feel strong as sh*t. I'm genuinely starting to feel like I finally have the horsepower I need for this division."
