UFC fighters have rallied together in support of Merab Dvalishvili after the Georgian fighter was subjected to an NSFW rant by YouTuber and podcaster 'The MMA Guru'.

Dvalishvili defeated Petr Yan in the main event of UFC Fight Night 221 this past Saturday. 'The Machine' dominated from the off as he relentlessly shot takedowns at the Russian across all five rounds.

The stamina and pace of the fight between the two men was staggering, but 'No Mercy' was never able to find his footing as he lost every round on the judges' scorecards.

Following the result, podcaster The MMA Guru went viral after going on an explicit rant about Merab Dvalishvili, which included the remark:

"It's over, Yan lost to Merab 5-0. Stupid little c*ck b*tch. You f***ing ugly little c**t. You goblin f***ing c*ck." [Directed towards Merab Dvalishvili]

In response, MMA fighters have rallied together in support of Dvalishvili and condemned the YouTuber for his volatile language.

Terrance McKinney wrote:

"The MMA guru guy is lame af he always has been and this video is the nail in his coffin for me"

'The Hangman' Dan Hooker couldn't help but laugh at the video:

Welterweight fighter Michael Chiesa hit back at the podcaster, stating he didn't have the right to dismiss the skills of one of the best fighters in the organization:

"Ugly mfer calling people ugly. Interesting. Dude that can't fight worth a squat talking mad shit aboutt he best fighters in the world. Typical. What a slug."

Petr Yan reveals he wasn't 100% fit heading into fight with Merab Dvalishvili

Petr Yan suffered his third straight loss last weekend as he came up short against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC Fight Night 221.

The Russian fighter displayed a high-level of takedown defense in the early rounds of the fight, but was eventually worn down by the unrelenting pressure of his Georgian opponent. Dvalishvili broke a UFC record by attemtping 49 takedowns throughout the fight.

Following his unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili, 'No Mercy' took to Instagram to explain his disappointing performance. According to the 30-year-old, he didn't feel physically right and should have addressed his concerns before heading into the fight.

Translated into English, Petr Yan wrote:

"It's annoying, it hurts to realize what is happening, but what happened cannot be rewound! In general, I was satisfied with the preparation. There were several slowing down factors - which I thought about and believed that I could handle! I flew to the States, we left the flight for a couple of days and started working. I felt I needed physical therapy!"
