UFC fighters and fans react to MMA fighter Marce Rojo's exotic post-fight celebration

UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno was ecstatic when his friend and former training partner, Marce Rojo, secured a first-round KO victory against Angel Cruz at Fury FC 76. Following his win, Rojo climbed onto the cage and held on sideways, which was reminiscent of the Marvel superhero Spider-Man.

The UFC released a short clip of Brandon Moreno reacting to his former teammate's win and post-fight celebration. In the clip, Rojo referred to himself as 'Spider Chelo', where 'Chelo' means cellist or cello when used as a noun in Spanish.

The No.1-ranked bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili commented with the following:

"Congratulations brother, great job."

'Pitbull' Rojo uploaded a video of his hand being raised on his Instagram profile. MMA analyst and color commentator Laura Sanko commented on the video with the following:

"Congratulations! [I'm] so happy for you! [You] earned it."

A fan commented on the camaraderie and friendship between Brandon Moreno and Marce Rojo. Moreno and Rojo briefly trained together in Las Vegas before 'The Assassin Baby' moved to Missouri to train with James Kraus at Glory MMA.

Although Marce Rojo was let go from the premier MMA promotion in December 2022, he still works as part of its Spanish broadcast team that features fellow Argentinian Santiago Ponzinibbio and the aforementioned flyweight champion.

Marcelo Rojo, whose nickname is 'Pitbull', has an MMA record of 17-9. He had a short and unsuccessful run at the world's premier MMA promotion (UFC), going 0-3 in the organization.

'Pitbull' competes in the featherweight division. He made his promotional debut against Charles Jourdain at UFC Fight Night 187 and lost via TKO in the third round.

Rojo next faced Kyler Phillips at UFC 271, where he was submitted by 'Matrix' via arm-triangle in the third round. Marce Rojo's last promotional bout was against Francis Marshall, who knocked 'Pitbull' out in the second round at UFC on ESPN 42. Following his last promotional loss, Rojo was released from the premier MMA organization in December 2022.

Marce Rojo currently trains at Entram Gym in Tijuana, Mexico. 'Pitbull' has competed in organizations such as Absolute Championship Akhmat, Arena Tour MMA, Combate, UFC and now Fury FC. Apart from fighting, Rojo works as part of the UFC's Spanish broadcasting team.
