UFC flyweight fighter Ode' Osbourne does not appreciate the way many MMA fans treat fighters nowadays.
'The Jamaican Sensation' took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the current state of the MMA fanbase. According to Osbourne, MMA supporters tend to turn their back on a fighter when he or she loses a fight, unlike earlier fans who would always support athletes irrespective of victory or defeat inside the octagon.
He wrote:
"MMA fans are not what they use to be. Fans use to rock with you til the wheels fall off. Now they treat us just animals for them to bet. I appreciate all the REAL fans out there who’s rock’d with me win, lose ,or draw. Love you all for real."

The 31-year-old started his UFC career on an underwhelming note as he was submitted by Brian Kelleher in the very first round of their fight in January 2020.
Osbourne then made a spectacular comeback and knocked out Jerome Rivera in just 26 seconds of the opening round.
'The Jamaican Sensation' then moved down to 125 pounds, where he was unsuccessful in his divisional debut as Manel Kape finished him in the first round. The 31-year-old bounced back with back-to-back victories over CJ Vergara and Zarrukh Adashev.
Osbourne was last seen in action in August 2022 when he took on Tyson Nam in a flyweight scrap. The fight was a short-lived affair as 'The Jamaican Sensation' suffered a knockout loss in the opening minutes of the fight.
Former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey shares her thoughts on MMA fans
During her active days in the UFC, Ronda Rousey was one of the biggest names in the world of combat sports. The 35-year-old was the bantamweight champion and successfully defended her belt a total of six times.
Rousey then suffered back-to-back knockout losses and parted ways with the promotion. 'Rowdy' has since stepped into the world of professional wrestling and the WWE.
During a live stream on her YouTube channel last year, Rousey compared MMA and WWE fans, saying the latter are more appreciative of the athletes and their efforts:
"WWE fans care more about the wrestlers than the UFC fans care about the fighters. UFC fans have, like, much less respect for their veterans and the legends of the sport than WWE fans do... It’s like, the second you’re not on top, you’re dead to them. Whereas WWE fans are like, ‘This is the guy that, you know, did this 20 years ago,’ and they’re still really excited about that.”
