UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping recently answered a fan who asked him if the promotion was planning on hosting an event in Cardiff, Wales in the near future.

The UFC recently held its annual event in England last month, which saw hometown heroes Leon Edwards and Tom Aspinall headline UFC 304 in Manchester. The promotion has typically either gone to London or Manchester for their events in England over recent years, but they have previously traveled to Glasgow, Scotland on two occasions. Bisping was even handed a headline slot for the Fight Night in the Scottish capital, when he defeated Thales Leites back in 2015.

Due to the UFC regularly heading back to the UK at least once a year, Welsh fans have been calling for an event to be held in their capital city. Cardiff hosts the Principality Stadium, which the promotion has previously been rumored to be interested in using.

Recently, 'The Count' was taking fan questions on his social media, when he was asked by a fan if the UFC were looking at least looking at the possibility of hosting an event in Cardiff.

Bisping responded by stating he hoped so, as well as revealing he actually had the choice of defending his middleweight title in the Welsh capital or his hometown of Manchester, understandably choosing the latter. He wrote:

"Hopefully one day. You won't like this 😐 but they asked me if I'd like my title defense in Cardiff at the Millennium Stadium or Manchester. Sorry, I had to go with Manchester :)"

Michael Bisping weighs in on Israel Adesanya's UFC return

Michael Bisping recently offered his take on Israel Adesanya's highly anticipated return. The former 185-pound champ is set to try and reclaim his title against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 later this month.

Following a shock loss to Sean Strickland last year, 'The Last Stylebender' opted to take an extended break from the sport in order to nurse a few undisclosed injuries and mentally reset.

In Adesanya's absence, his former rival, Alex Pereira has attained star status. 'Poatan' has been on the warpath since moving up to light heavyweight and has both won and defended the title twice in less than a year.

Bisping, who was discussing Adesanya's return on his YouTube channel, believes Pereira's roaring success is another reason Israel Adesanya wants to get back in the cage. He said:

"Izzy was the man. Now he's fallen off. Somebody else has got his belt. His former opponent, his former rival, his former nemesis is now who Izzy was, is now the biggest star in the sport. Everyone's loving the guy."
