Michael Bisping recently shared his experience with a premium account on X. Since Elon Musk acquired X, the platform has implemented a policy of allowing users with paid subscriptions to receive blue checkmarks, which indicate verified individuals.
Recently, many X users have complained about losing their blue checkmarks and experiencing a significant drop in their subscriber numbers. In a recent episode of the Believe You Me podcast, Bisping expressed surprise at his low earnings from X and shared his thoughts on X premium subscription service:
"The thing is that because they monetized X, I don't think anyone's going to get rich from it. Far from it... I signed up for it and I've got a couple of $17 checks. I don't think anyone's making a fortune."
While speculating the factors that contribute to content going viral on X, Bisping stated:
Get the latest updates on One Championship Rankings at Sportskeeda and more
"I think what people do though, is, more wild and crazy the stuff is that they tweet, the more it gets shared... And the more it gets talked about. Like Sean Strickland, the kind of stuff he comes out with, of course it's going to create engagement."

Elon Musk recently announced changes to the algorithm of X, explained the drop in users' subscriber numbers
Elon Musk, who has implemented several changes to X since taking control of the platform, has addressed growing dissatisfaction among users regarding the decline in subscriber numbers.
In a post dated Dec. 27, 2024, Musk stated that if a significantly larger number of credible, verified subscriber accounts mute or block an account compared to those who engage positively with the content, the reach of that account will decline significantly.
In another post, Musk revealed that X was working on an algorithm tweak to promote positivity on X. He wrote:
"Algorithm tweak coming soon to promote more informational / entertaining content. We will publish the changes to @XEng. Our goal is to maximize unregretted user-seconds. Too much negativity is being pushed that technically grows user time, but not unregretted user time."
Musk's recent efforts seek to curb bots and low-quality content on X, while enhancing the platform experience for users, allowing them to customize their feeds according to their preferences.
