Since stepping into the boxing ring in 2020, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has faced constant scrutiny regarding the authenticity of his matches, despite securing victories over notable opponents like Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley.

The skepticism prompted Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), co-founded by Paul, to issue a statement defending the integrity of the fight. The organization highlighted its adherence to professional regulations and dismissed the rigging accusations as “baseless claims” that undermine the sport.

Despite MVP’s defense, the fight has drawn widespread criticism for its unconventional format of eight two-minute rounds and heavier gloves. It also raised questions about the fairness of the matchup. Former UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell suggested that issuing such statements indicates deeper “problems” with public perception.

"If you have to make a public statement like this, then you have problems, period.."

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson has challenged Jake Paul to an MMA fight without weight or pay restrictions. Jackson's frustration stems from Paul's callout of Conor McGregor following the Mike Tyson bout. The MMA legend criticized Paul for allegedly disrespecting the sport and selecting lopsided matchups against handpicked opponents.

The 46-year-old took to X and wrote:

"Yo @jakepaul, watch how you talk to MMA royalty, I’ll fight you in MMA no weight class for no pay. That’s a great deal.. but I bet YOU won’t. Stop disrespecting people in my fuc*ing sport homie. You fighting Tyson was your last straw.. go back to boxing wrestlers."
