Jake Paul is aiming for boxing glory at the 2028 Olympics, and one UFC legend supports the idea.
In one of his recent social media posts, former UFC star Chael Sonnen endorsed the idea of Paul fighting at the next Olympic Games. Since turning pro in 2020, 'The Problem Child' has racked up a record of 10-1, with wins over several ex-UFC stars: Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and Mike Perry.
However, the 27-year-old has often been criticized for his choice of opponents. Many believe he is only targeting favorable opposition, significantly lighter MMA fighters at the tail end of their careers.
Paul's latest proposition is as daring as it comes. During a recent segment of BS w/Jake Paul, he declared his Olympic aspirations.

"I'm going to enter the 2028 Olympics for boxing in Los Angeles. I'm sick and tired, of waiting around, waiting for another gold for Team USA so. [I'm] not retiring. I definitely, probably just added a couple more years on to my boxing career because of that, but Los Angeles, United States, sick as f**k... Actually, I'm going to do it. 2028 Olympics, you heard it here first. Gold medal, you are mine brother."
Elated with the announcement, Sonnen took to X, writing:
"I will do anything I can to support this idea and help to make this happen."

Jake Paul slams Olympic boxing judges
Team USA's boxing contingent could only win one medal in the ongoing Paris Olympics. Omari Jones nabbed a bronze medal in the welterweight category.
Jones outclassed Taiwan's Kan Chia Wei in the round of 16, winning 5-0, before repeating the same scoreline against Bulgaria's Rami Mofid Kiwan in the quarter-finals. However, his dream run ended in the semi-finals as he lost 3-2 to Uzbekistan's Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev.
Suffice it to say, Jake Paul was far from happy with the result. In a post on X, 'The Problem Child' slammed the Olympic boxing judges, writing:
"Absolute robbery. Omari Jones won every round of that fight with ease. Can't believe boxing sometimes... Sh**s a real shame."
