A UFC lightweight athlete seemingly believes Joe Rogan would easily defeat Tyson Fury if they were to clash in an MMA fight. Rogan, who's a longtime UFC commentator and MMA analyst, recently discussed a hypothetical fight between Fury and Jon Jones.

On his JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast, Rogan suggested that if WBC boxing heavyweight kingpin Tyson Fury were to be locked in a room with reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, it'd be Jones who'd come out victorious. He indicated that in a no-rules fight scenario, Fury would only stand a puncher's chance against 'Bones.'

A former Taekwondo fighter himself, Rogan explained why he feels Jones would most definitely win a fight against Fury. Rogan highlighted that 'Bones' possesses a diverse skill set comprising different martial arts, as opposed to Fury whose martial arts expertise is limited only to boxing.

Tyson Fury subsequently posted a video on social media, lambasting Rogan after the latter picked 'Bones' to dominantly beat him. 'The Gypsy King' stated:

"I'm the baddest man on the planet," said Fury. "I heard Joe Rogan say something about me the other day, and I've been off all the social media so I didn't reply to the little p*ssy. "

Fury added:

"The little f***ing bald-headed midget. I heard him say that Jon Jones could f*ck me up if we were in a room together. I don't think so. Not a man born from a mother can f*ck me up in a room on our own. Whatever happens in that room, I'd be walking out. Not a f***ing problem."

UFC lightweight fan-favorite Terrance McKinney recently tweeted regarding the Fury-Jones debate and predicted that Jones would surely beat Fury. Moreover, McKinney has now posted another tweet, claiming that Rogan too would defeat Fury in an MMA bout. McKinney wrote:

"I think Joe Rogan takes Tyson Fury within 2 rounds (MMA)"

Could Tyson Fury's next fight see him compete for the undisputed heavyweight title?

While Tyson Fury has previously trained alongside MMA stars such as Nick Diaz, the consensus is that he's unlikely to cross over to the sport of MMA anytime soon. Fury, who's the reigning WBC heavyweight titleholder, has been involved in long-running negotiations with rival heavyweight pugilist Oleksandr Usyk.

Oleksandr Usyk is currently the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring magazine heavyweight titleholder. The winner of the potential Fury-Usyk showdown would earn the distinction of unifying all major boxing heavyweight titles and would be crowned as boxing's undisputed heavyweight champion.

Regardless, it was recently revealed that their on-and-off fight negotiations have fallen through yet again. On that note, 'The Gypsy King' asserted that he could box Andy Ruiz Jr. or Zhilei Zhang instead.

However, it now appears as though a possible Fury-Ruiz or Fury-Zhang matchup might not materialize next. As of this time, Fury's next opponent and exact comeback date haven't been officially announced.
