There's a new development on the alleged r*pe and sexual misconduct allegations against UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. For those who are unaware, TikTiker Meredith Brown uploaded a post accusing 'Poatan' of r*ping and sexually assaulting her on the weekend of UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey.
She then uploaded a near-20-minute video detailing the events surrounding the alleged crime, from DMs to hotel bookings to the actual assault incident. No official criminal case has been filed yet, but the court of public opinion quickly pounced on the issue.
While many praised Brown for speaking up, an equal number of people went on a fact-checking brigade to verify the serious allegations. As of recent events, the original post by Brown has been taken down, her Instagram account has been deactivated, and her friend and alleged witness to the crime seemingly unfollowed her on social media.
UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney posted the update on X with the caption:

Listen to Meredith Brown's TikTok video alleging Alex Pereira r*ped and sexually assaulted her
AFeldmanMMA on X retrieved Meredith Brown's original 20-minute video on TikTok. In the series of videos, Brown recounted how Alex Pereira's friend and translator, Mel, contacted her friend via DMs and invited them to watch the fights at UFC 302 last June.
From the moment they met to the night of the fights, Brown claimed that Pereira was allegedly coming on to her despite her refusal to engage the UFC champ sexually. This led to the Brazilian champion allegedly r*ping her in a hotel room near the fighter hotel.

AFeldmanMMA also replied to his tweet, saying:
"False accusations should result in much longer than 5 years in prison, IMO. We have seen many lives ruined due to false accusations. We've seen these types of allegations against many pro athletes, with some being completely made up and others being true. I believe whoever is in the wrong should be held fully accountable. There should be serious punishment if these allegations are false, and, obviously, serious punishment for Pereira if he did, in fact, r*pe her, as she accused."
