During the post-fight presser after the first episode of Dana White's Contender Series, the UFC CEO was asked about the Irishman returning to action to face Michael Chandler.
White said he doesn't expect McGregor to fight before the end of the year:
"We talked... We didn't meet up, but we talked... He wants to fight... Not this year. He won't fight this year."
After White's comments hit social media, 'The Notorious' soon responded, stating that he is in fact planning on making his UFC return in December.
In a now-deleted tweet, McGregor wrote:
"Ah Dana, December is the date! Bring the calendar year home with a winning event! Come on now, what’s this? I am off to altitude next month to prepare. DECEMBER! Tell Dana and UFC WE WANT DECEMBER! WE DESERVE DECEMBER!"
#2. Israel Adesanya makes NSFW comparion to Dricus du Plessis ahead of UFC 305
Israel Adesanya recently made a rather intriguing comparison between himself and Dricus du Plessis.
The angst between the two fighters began when 'Stillknocks' stated that his aim was to become the first real African champion as he still lives and trains in his native South Africa. His comments struck a nerve with the Nigerian-New Zealander, and they will look to settle the score this weekend at UFC 305.
Ahead of their bout, Adesanya took to X and posted a below-the-belt comparison of himself and du Plessis, believing it answers any questions about who is the "real African champion."
'The Last Stylebender' also added a caption to the post, writing:
"So you're telling me you're the real African champion..."

#1. Joe Rogan accused of copying Brendan Schaub's jokes
Joe Rogan appears to be in hot water with some of his fans this week after allegations have come to light that he may have stolen jokes from his friend and fellow comedian Brendan Schaub.
Schaub and Rogan have been friends for a number of years, with Schaub often crediting the UFC commentator for helping him make his own name in the stand-up world.
Their friendship may now be under strain, however, after YouTuber 'The Elephant Graveyard' analysed footage from Rogan's latest Netflix stand-up special, 'Burn The Boats'.
In a clip from the video that was shared to X, the YouTuber shows Rogan telling a joke about his life if he were gay, as well as him mimicking a Chinese accent. A clip of Schaub then plays after, with the former fighter making similar jokes.
