Bryce Mitchell recently made some bold claims while referring to Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovksi. The UFC featherweight prospect recently noted that MMA provides scope for attaining wealth and retiring within a quick span like no other profession.

Mitchell went on to state that he could potentially become the next Israel Adesanya and have $10 million in his bank out. 'Thug Nasty' further added that a stunning KO win over Alexander Volkanovksi, followed by three consecutive finishes against other contenders, would help him achieve the feat. The 28-year-old recently told ESPN's Brett Okamoto:

"With MMA, I feel like there's nothing else that if I just [do things] perfectly and have a good run, I can retire like that. Nothing legal. Think of something legal where you...Dude, would you agree in three years I could have $10 million in my bank and be like the next Israel Adesanya. Say I knock out [Alexander] Volkanovski cold and then go on three fights knockout, three other contenders, that would be $10 million in the bank, don't you think?"

Mitchell is coming off his first professional loss against Ilia Topuria at UFC 282 last month, following which he hinted at retirement. However, 'Thug Nasty' has since retracted his comments, claiming to have been too hard on himself.

Israel Adesanya's coach believes the next UFC middleweight title fight in not Alex Pereira's choice

Israel Adesanya's dominant rule atop the middleweight division came to an end with a fifth-round upset KO loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 281, which was also his third loss against 'Poatan'. While Adesanya should ideally get an immediate rematch, Khamzat Chimaev's name has suddenly popped up in the middleweight title picture after 'Borz' called out Pereira.

But Pereira himself admitted that Adesanya is deserving of an immediate rematch if 'The Last Stylebender' really wants it. According to Adesanya's head coach Eugene Bareman, Pereira hasn't done enough for the promotion to decide on his next opponent. The CKB boss said on Submission Radio:

"At the end of the day, it’s not Alex’s choice. It will be Alex’s choice when he makes ‘x’ amount of title defenses and does well for the company and all that, then it becomes Alex’s choice. But at the moment we’ve got a champion who’s done so much for this company, who’s defended his title so many times. If he wants a rematch, I believe that that’s what he should get."
