Erin Blanchfield has made her debut in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings and has been granted a massive move up the women's flyweight rankings as well.
The 23-year-old American recently scored the biggest win of her career at UFC Vegas 69, where she dominated former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade by second-round submission. Unsurprisingly, her spectacular performance against one of the best finishers in the division saw 'Cold Blooded' given a massive ranking upgrade.
In the latest UFC rankings update, Erin Blanchfield moved up seven spots in the women's flyweight division and now occupies the No.3 spot, just ahead of Andrade, who dropped to No.4. The mercurial flyweight now sits behind No.1-ranked Taila Santos and No.2-ranked Manon Fiorot.

Blanchfield also entered the women's pound-for-pound list at No.8, just one spot behind No.7-ranked Jessica Andrade. Interestingly, Andrade is a ranked contender in the flyweight and strawweight divisions.
Blachfield's statement performance against one of the best fighters in the division means she will likely be in contention to fight for the title. With the seemingly unstoppable Valentina Shevchenko booked to face Alexa Grasso at UFC 285, it would not be surprising if Erin Blachfield gets the next title shot against the contest winner.
Erin Blanchfield doesn't mind waiting for her title shot and is ready for another fight before fighting for the belt
Erin Blanchfield will not be complaining if she doesn't get an opportunity to fight for the title next, despite her dominant win over Jessica Andrade. While 'Cold Blooded' has made her intentions to face Valentina Shevchenko clear, she will not turn down any opponents in the meantime.
The No.3-ranked women's flyweight contender proved her mettle as a solid title challenger after she needed less than two rounds to secure a rear-naked choke submission to put away the ever-dangerous Jessica Andrade in the UFC Vegas 69 main event. However, she's not in a rush and will be content with taking another fight if the promotion doesn't feel that she is ready.
In the UFC Vegas 69 post-fight press conference, Erin Blanchfield stated:
"I’m definitely okay with fighting again. The title fight’s in two weeks so I think it can line up perfect but if they want me to fight again, I’ll gain more experience."
'Bullet' is set to face Grasso on March 4 as she looks to defend her UFC women's flyweight title for the eighth time. If successful, Blanchfield or No.1-ranked flyweight Manon Fiorot will likely be next up for a title opportunity.
