UFC San Antonio 2023: Here's everything you need to know about this weekend's Fight Night event

UFC San Antonio is all set to take place on March 25 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The event will mark the UFC's first trip to San Antonio since July 2019.

The card will be headlined by a thrilling bantamweight scrap between top contenders Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera. Sandhagen recently bounced back from his two-fight skid by defeating Song Yadong in September 2022.

Vera, on the other hand, is riding a four-fight win streak that includes victories over fighters like Dominick Cruz, Rob Font and Frankie Edgar.

Considering the exciting style that both fighters possess, this bantamweight clash could prove to be a 'Fight of the Year' contender. To add to that, the stakes are high for the fight as the winner could possibly be next in line for a shot at UFC gold.

The co-main event of UFC San Antonio will mark the return of former UFC champion Holly Holm, who will take on Yana Santos in a bantamweight showdown. Both fighters failed to secure a win in their last fight and will be looking to turn things around come March 25.

After delivering an instant classic war against David Onama in August 2022, Nate Landwehr will return to action at UFC San Antonio. 'The Train' will take on Austin Lingo in a featherweight scrap.

Landwehr has had five fights in the UFC and has won three of them. Lingo, on the other hand, is currently 2-0 in the UFC. As both fighters are currently riding the momentum of a two-fight win streak, the two featherweights will look to make another entry in the win column on March 25.
