UFC Vegas 100 is just around the corner. The event marks a milestone at the UFC Apex facility, which was opened for US-based Fight Night and pay-per-view events after restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The venue continues to host selected events now. UFC Vegas 100 will feature 13 fights in five weight classes, featuring several ranked contenders, former champions, and title challengers.
In the main event, No.15-ranked welterweight contender Neil Magny will take on Carlos Prates. The event was originally expected to be headlined by Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi. However, the fight was rescheduled for the week before, with Magny vs. Prates being elevated to the main event spot.
Magny is coming off a first-round TKO defeat against Michael Morales. Meanwhile, Prates is a highly touted rising contender who earned his UFC contract through Dana White's Contender Series. He scored a dominant second-round KO win over Li Jingliang in his last outing at UFC 305.
