UFC Vegas 101 bonuses and aftermath: Israel Adesanya and Rose Namajunas' records tied, Mackenzie Dern and three others win $50K, and more

UFC Vegas 101 marked the promotion's first fight event of 2025. The fight card lived up to the hype and delivered several exciting moments throughout the night. The card took place on January 11 at the UFC APEX Facility in Enterprise, Nevada.

A five-round strawweight rematch between Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas headlined the event. Dern managed to avenge her loss to Ribas by submitting her via an armbar in the third round of the fight.

With the victory, Dern became the first fighter to submit Ribas in MMA. She also received a 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000 for her efforts.

The victory helped Dern achieve some new milestones. The Brazilian is now the 12th female athlete to have 10 or more victories in the UFC.

After UFC Vegas 101, Dern has five UFC submissions, the second-most in the promotion's women's division after Gillian Robertson (seven submissions).

The Brazilian is now tied with Rose Namajunas and Amanda Lemos for the second most finishes (5) in UFC's 115-pound division, after Jessica Andrade (6).

The co-main event of UFC Vegas 101 featured a welterweight showdown between Santiago Ponzinibbio and Carlston Harris. Ponzinibbio proceeded to score a knockout in the third round of the fight.

'Argente Dagger' now has six knockouts, the second-most among active fighters in the UFC's welterweight division.

Roman Kopylov and Chris Curtis also went to war in a three-round middleweight scrap on January 11. In the third round, Kopylov landed a head kick that stumbled Curtis. This caused the referee to stop the fight with just one second left.

After the win, Kopylov is now tied with Gregory Rodrigues and Israel Adesanya for the most knockouts (5) among active UFC middleweights.

Their contest was also awarded the 'Fight of the Night' honors and both athletes took home a bonus cheque of $50,000 each.

Cesar Almeida scored an impressive first-round knockout against Abdul Razak Alhassan. He was also named as the winner of the 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000.
