Fight of the Night: Edson Barboza vs. Lerone Murphy
The main event clash between Braboza and Murphy won the Fight of the Night honors.
In the opening round, Barboza focused on attacking the legs, while Murphy largely targeted the head. The Brazilian landed a powerful up-kick on Murphy in the last seconds of the first round, as the latter struggled with constant pressure throughout the fight. As the bout went on, the British fighter's blows became more accurate, leading to takedown opportunities.
Barboza was forced to fight defensively by Murphy's mixed attack, which prevented him from using his kick-heavy fighting style. Murphy continued to land blow after blow, but Barboza persevered and showed resilience by surviving to hear the final bell even after being broken and bruised.
Murphy won the fight by unanimous decision, according to the judges' scorecard (50-45 X 2, 49-46). The two featherweights took home a $50,000 bonus each after their exciting fight in the main event of UFC Vegas 92.
Performance of the Night: Khaos Williams and Angela Hill
In the co-main event, Williams and Harris engaged in a three-round fight. Williams' massive right hand knocked Harris down in the opening round, which caused the fight to end rather soon. The referee intervened to stop the bout after a follow-up shot.
Angela Hill defeated Luana Pinheiro via submission in the opening bout of the main card, marking her second consecutive victory since losing to Mackenzie Dern by unanimous decision in May 2023.
Following their spectacular wins, they received Performance of the Night honors, earning an additional $50,000 bonus each.
