UFC Vegas 92 was headlined by a five-round featherweight scrap between Edson Barboza and Lerone Murphy. The event was held on May 18 at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada.

Coming into the fight, Murphy was undefeated as a professional fighter and had a 13-0-1 record. 'The Miracle' had been a part of six UFC fights and had gotten his hand raised in all of them.
Barboza, on the other hand, walked into UFC Vegas 92 with two back to-back victories against Billy Quarantillo and Sodiq Yusuff.
