A UFC veteran expressed his support for Matt Hamill, who recently shared emotional news on social media.
In his Instagram post, Hamill revealed that he had received digital hearing aids which will now enable him to hear voices and sounds after 41 years.
'The Hammer' admitted that it will take time for him to adapt to this new lifestyle but stated that he was excited about it.
"I just got the most powerful digital hearing aids ever made. For the first time in 41 years, I can finally hear my kids' voices, the sounds of people walking and laughing. I finally heard my mom's voice and she cried. I'm looking forward to hearing my brother Pat's voice too. I only hope he doesn't have a voice like a foghorn. This is awesome though I know it will take time to adapt to all of this. Happy New Year!"

What happened in the fight between Matt Hamill and Jon Jones?
Matt Hamill and Jon Jones were matched up for a light heavyweight showdown in December 2009. The fight turned out to be quite controversial due to its outcome. In the first round, Jones got into top position on the ground and started hitting Hamill with 12-to-6 elbows, a move which was illegal at the time.
This caused the referee to intervene and stop the fight. Bones was disqualified for his actions and Hamill was declared the winner. To this day, 'The Hammer' remains the only fighter to hold a professional win over Jones.
