Conor McGregor is never too far away from being embroiled in a feud with a fellow fighter and today (April 2) is no different. The megastar called for a fight against former UFC competitor Jeremy Stephens, prompting a response from the veteran.
'The Notorious' is preparing to make his long-awaited return and will make his first octagon appearance in two years following his horrific leg break. The fan favorite has reportedly signed on the dotted line to meet the explosive Michael Chandler in the cage on his inevitable comeback sometime this year.
After being called out by Conor McGregor, UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens took to social media to shoot his shot at securing a potential clash with the global star. The clash is arguably a long time coming due to their history.
"Conor McGregor [are] your brittle bones ready to throw heat? Name the place and time, you can have the steroids because I know you get wobbly legs in the late rounds"

Conor McGregor called for a fight with the experienced MMA fighter following his impressive showing during his debut in the sport of boxing.
Despite being overlooked and considered a huge underdog ahead of the fight, Jeremy Stephens earned a majority draw in his clash with Jose Aldo on Saturday night.
This isn't the first time the two have met in combat, as they previously shared the cage during their time in the UFC. Unlike yesterday, 'Lil Heathen' was completely outclassed and suffered a TKO loss to the Brazilian back in 2018.
Conor McGregor's history with Jeremy Stephens
Although the pair have never collided in the cage, Conor McGregor and Jeremy Stephens do have some history together. They both played a major part in one of the UFC's most famous media day moments.
In the build-up to the all-time UFC 205, the featherweight took his moment to fire shots at 'The Notorious', saying he's more of a knockout threat than his counterpart. It prompted the Irishman to relay the famous words, 'Who the f**k is that guy?'
Stephens did later respond when he shared a picture alongside the Dublin native's mother, stating, 'Your mum knows who the f**k I am'. The two have been on different career paths and have rarely shared any other words publicly. However, it seems that could all change with the pair sharing their interest in a boxing bout.
