Joe Rogan has been for long one of the harshest critics of the Olympic Games. While the veteran sportscaster believes the coveted event is a scam, Chael Sonnen views the Olympics in a different light.
Rogan has always slammed the quadrennial sporting event for its underwhelming compensation for participating athletes. This time around, however, he had numerous other gripes with the games over inclusion and fair play as well.
During #161st MMA Show of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the American branded the Olympics a scam.
In a recent segment on his YouTube channel, Sonnen disputed the veteran commentator's opinions.

While the ex-UFC star has no delusions that the games' organizers are devoid of greed and are not profit-driven, he also believes that the Olympics is the best platform some athletes can ever get.
As he sees it, unlike track and field competitions, less popular Olympic events like wrestling might in fact fail to generate any profit for the event. Sonnen elaborated:
"In Joe Rogan's spot when you're saying it's a scam, for it to be fooling people and misleading people, for it to be marketed one way, when it is actually something very different, I just describe every business in the Fortune 500."
Sonnen added:
"You get the wrestler who gets out of there, he has a cauliflower ear and some good memories to tell on the barstool down the road because he also did not get anything, but he didn't give anything up. It wasn't a situation where somewhere else was treating him better. And for it to be a scam, that's what it would need to be... So is it a scam? No. Is it run by di*tbags? Oh yeah."

Joe Rogan slams Olympics organizers for "pushing weird agenda"
Paris Olympics' opening ceremony grabbed global attention for all the wrong reasons. The 18-person tableau parody of Leonardo Da Vinci's ' The Last Supper' performed by members of the LGBTQ community sparked a global outrage.
Joe Rogan believes the Olympic opening festivities were an inopportune platform for such a display. Talking to Khalil Rountree during the #161st MMA Show of the JRE, Rogan said:
"They [the performers] are being artsy, they are being fun. But it's not the place for it. You are pushing this weird agenda in this place where people are already getting f****d over."
