A UFC veteran recently commented on Tucker Carlson's remarks on the U.S. government. Carlson issued a grave warning about a future revolution if the American leadership does not exercise caution.
The fighter in question is Jake Shields, a former title challenger in the UFC who regularly shares his polarizing socio-political views on social media. Shields recently took to X and shared a clip from Carlson's podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show, in which the political commentator discussed democracy with the director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, Mike Benz.
Carlson said:
''Do they [NATO, the US state department the UK foreign office] ever stop and just ask since when is it okay for the people in charge of a government to ban populism. I don't understand, when did we all agree that populism is bad? I thought the whole system was fundamentally a populist system the country belongs to its citizens I thought that was the whole deal.''

He added:
''They're playing with revolution here. I mean, they've lost their legitimacy so I'm not going to try to overthrow the US government. I'm 55, I'm not going to do that but at some point someone's going to try to do that and it's going to be kind of hard to see whether or not justified.''
Shields shared his reaction:
''Tucker says there will be a revolution or the government isn’t carful''

''It was - New York is always a f*****g experience, man. MSG, the buzz, the energy. But the truth of the matter is, our fan base is aligned. I mean, we’re - our fanbase, our fighters, everybody.
