Donald Cerrone declared his retirement after his defeat at UFC 276 versus Jim Miller. However, 'Cowboy' recently informed his supporters that he intends to rejoin the organization and compete twice more, two years after he last put his gloves down.

Following Cerrone's lead, another UFC veteran has stated that he hopes to make a comeback too.

American mixed martial artist Damon Jackson, 36, put his gloves down following a first-round submission loss against Miller at UFC 309.

Jackson, however, recently told MMA Junkie Radio that he is not finished fighting and will take a break until the summer of 2025 to prepare both physically and psychologically for his comeback bout:

“I’m not done man. I’m really not. I’ve been in the gym doing two- and three-a-days just like normal. I’m still in it 100 percent, it’s just mentally I really checked out that night and it was an overload, really. But I’m not done. I just need to figure out the path to what I want to do next. But I’m not done fighting, for sure."

Donald Cerrone has entered the testing pool

41-year-old combatant Donald Cerrone, who is planning on making a return and fighting two more times under the UFC banner, has re-joined the testing pool.

As he revealed on The Pacman Jones Show, he is aiming for a comeback in June or July to compete at middleweight.

About that, he stated:

“So I just re-entered the testing pool so I have to be six months clean. Probably June or July we’ll make the comeback. I’m coming back for two more. Just two more. I want 50 fights [under the] UFC [umbrella]."

Cerrone last won against Al Iaquinta in 2019, after which he has lost six bouts and has one no contest.
