Kamala Harris filling Joe Biden's spot as the Democrats' US presidential candidate seems to have left a sour taste in one UFC veteran's mouth.
Jake Shields was unhappy for a multitude of reasons. For one, he feels Biden stepping back was well overdue given his rapidly reciling mental state, which he believes the party and media had been trying to cover up for years.

On Sunday, the incumbent POTUS announced his exit from the upcoming elections while extending his support to his VP who has since filled the spot.
Biden's mental coherence to hold positions of power has been a topic of contentious debate for a few years, and such doubts were further legitimized at the recently concluded presidential debate, where he was seen struggling to string up sentences.
According to a report by ABC News, the Democratic congressional members who wanted Biden out of candidature grew to at least 40, with even notable names including Senator Joe Manchin chiming in.
The MMA star also seems to be in no hurry to endorse Harris, who he believes made unprecedented strides in her career using lewd tactics. Reacting to the news of her replacing the 81-year-old as the Democrats' candidate, Shields wrote:
"She literally got her first promotion by s*****g SF [San Fransico] Mayor Willie Brown's c**k."

The ex-UFC contender also noted that American investor Alex Soros, son of billionaire George Soros has endorsed Harris.
The change in the presidential candidate comes ahead of the Democratic National Convention set for Chicago, Illinois from Aug. 19-22. The second presidential debate will take place on Sept. 10, with the election itself happening on Nov. 5.
UFC veteran insinuates Joe Biden did not step down for Kamala Harris on his own accord
Despite Joe Biden openly supporting Kamala Harris' bid for the Oval Office on social media, Jake Shields doubts if the current president did it on his own accord.
In a recent post on X, the MMA fighter speculated that maybe the decision to swap out the Democratic candidate was taken without Biden's consent:
"Biden's handlers decided he was done as resigned for him. Things will get interesting if he decides he wants to stay in. They have no legal grounds to force him out."
Shields, however, did not stop there but, continued his barrage on Harris with a homophobic response, calling out the gay community.
