A former UFC welterweight title contender has reacted to Brett Cooper's rumored exit from The Daily Wire. The Comments Section with Brett Cooper host was a regular show host from March 2022 to December 2024. Her exit from the show has been connected to a social media post by American political commentator Candace Owens in which she referred to Israel's action in Gaza as a "genocide."
Taking it to X, AF Post speculated that Cooper's removal was a reaction to her views regarding Israel after she liked Owens' post. It also mentioned Cooper's disagreement with Daily Wire's executives' support of Israel.
Reacting to the post, Jake Shields made an eye-opening remark to the post by quoting it and writing:
"This explains her being fired."

The Daily Wire was founded by Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing in 2015. Shapiro is an avowed supporter of Israel and has come under fire for his views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
On the other hand, the former UFC fighter Shields is among those high-profile public figures who have been calling out Israel for its conduct in Palestine since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started in October 2023.

While commenting on the situation and making a comparison between Trump endorsers and Harris' supporters, Cooper zeroed in on her podcast The Comments Section with Brett Cooper by saying:
"I mean when you have this squad TM endorsing you, when you have the war mongering Cheney family who you all hated until four years ago the entirety of Diddy's friend group, you gotta start asking questions."
