UFC veteran mocks Jordan Peterson's interview with Elon Musk: "Trying to sound smart"

A UFC veteran recently expressed his thoughts on Jordan Peterson's interview with Elon Musk. Former UFC welterweight title challenger Jake Shields took a dig at Peterson for his attempt to appear smart.

Peterson spoke to Musk in a viral two-hour interview in which they discussed everything from the future of artificial intelligence, and the importance of Christianity in his life to the influence of the 'woke virus' on his son.

The interview, which was recorded at Gigafactory Texas and streamed on The Daily Wire+, received over 18 million views on X within hours of its release. Musk discussed religion with Peterson, stating that while he is not religious, he believes in Christian values. He said:

''While I’m not a particularly religious person, I do believe that the teachings of Jesus are good and wise. This notion of forgiveness is important. I think it’s essential because if you don’t forgive, I forget who said it, but ‘an eye for an eye makes everyone blind.' So I’m a big believer in the principles of Christianity.'' [H/t: Tribune]

Peterson then talked about the conflicting religious imagery of men and women while sporting a jacket adorned with different images of the Madonna and child. According to him, the mother-infant dyad, represented by the Virgin Mary and the infant Jesus, is the holy image of a woman, while Christ is the sacred image of a man in the West.

Peterson said:

''The sacred image of masculinity in the west is a crucifixion. But a man whose crucified but sacred image of a woman isn't a woman. The sacred image of a woman is a woman and an infant, right so dyad and not a monad.''

That didn't sit well with Shields, who took to X in response to Peterson's remarks, writing:

''This is a guy trying to sound smart while actually saying nothing.''

Jake Shields supports Elon Musk's employee sacked for his views on the Israel-Palestine issue

Former UFC fighter Jake Shields recently expressed his support for a Tesla engineer who was fired for sharing his personal opinions on the Israel-Palestine conflict. The engineer, Joseph Faisal Nusairat, shared anti-Israel comments on X.

In addition, he spread a conspiracy theory that was antisemitic and claimed that Israel was in league with the world's ruling class. This resulted in his firing from Tesla, which caught Shields' notice. He then took to X to share his opinions on the matter, writing:

"Tesla fired one of their engineers for correctly saying Hamas did not behead 40 babies and Israel controls our government. Elon [Musk] said he will set you a legal fee to help anyone who is fired over tweets. Will be Sue Tesla?"
