A UFC veteran has questioned ADL’s stance on the TikTok ban. On March 13, 2024, a bill was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, to ban the popular social media app worldwide.
As per the bill, since TikTok is owned by ByteDance, which is a Chinese company, it poses a national security threat, as lawmakers worry that the Chinese government can access American data.
After news of the ban went viral, many speculated the bill was a product of Jewish influence. Anti-Semites have claimed that the bill is an attempt by Jews to silence voices.
Recently, UFC veteran Jake Shields shared a year-old ADL article on the TikTok ban and the anti-Semitic theories.

Shields questioned ADL's stance on the ban:
"The ADL is warning us about antisemitic conspiracies on the banning of TikTok... This is after the ADL and other Jewish organizations pushed the congress to ban TikTok"

ByteDance is reportedly valued at $300 billion (Yahoo Finance). The parent company has until January 19 to sell the app or face a ban.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes TikTok "is the best for suc*ing people in"
In a previous episode of JRE, UFC commentator Joe Rogan read the TikTok policy loud on his podcast and was stunned by the access TikTok has on user devices.
He shared some alarming information about the application. Rogan believes that because the application has access to consumers' IP addresses, device models, keystroke patterns, and other information, its terms and rules are intrusive and suspicious.
Rogan said after reading the terms:
"They can use other computers that you are not even using to log into TikTok. They can suck the data off that. That’s what you’re agreeing to when you download and start using TikTok. That’s wild."
He added:
"I think they saw that people are addicted to social media and they came up with the most addictive version of social media, TikTok…It is the best for sucking people in…It ends with China having all of your data.”
