Former UFC title challenger Jake Shields publicly criticized Elon Musk's push to promote positivity on X. This criticism came after Musk, posted about the highly controversial topic of Pakistani grooming gangs in the United Kingdom.

According to the American, Musk's recent posts have contradicted his own call for positive content. Shields took to X questioning Musk on whether he would suppress his speech for positive content. The former title challenger also questioned if the promotion to positivity was selective and if Musk himself was allowed to speak on things he wanted to. Shields wrote:

"Elon says he’s gonna only amplify positive content while posting about Paki r**e gangs. That is an important issue but it’s certainly not positive. Will be suppress his own speech or is this just for topics he doesn’t like?".

This incident has proved the complex nature of managing on social media platforms especially when the owner is involved in discussions.

Jake Shields criticizes X as he is not allowed monetization on the platform

Former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Jake Shields, an active user of X, criticized the platform after being denied monetization. The former UFC title challenger is an active critic of the U.S. government.

Shields also claimed he wasn't able to have subscriptions and was not allowed to post with more than 280 characters:

"X has decided I’m not allowed to be monetized. X has decided I’m not allowed to have subscriptions. X has decided I’m not able to be verified. X has decided I’m not allowed to use more than 280 characters. When will X decide I’m not allowed on their free speech platform?".
