Former UFC welterweight Jake Shields expressed concerns after Germar Rudolf was reportedly arrested following Shields' announcement of the release date for a podcast featuring a debate between Rudolf and Michael Vann, a history professor. The podcast, part of his YouTube channel Fight Back Podcast, is scheduled for release on December 13 at 5 PM PST.
Sam Parker, an influencer known for vocally presenting his anti-Zionism views, shared a post on his X account claiming that Germar Rudolf, a controversial figure known for his Holocaust denial views, has been booked as an "out-of-state" fugitive in New York.
Shields took notice of the tweet and reshared it, having recently announced that the next episode of his podcast features Rudolf. He expressed his concern over the matter, writing:
“Germar was arrested right after I announced he was debating the holocaust on my podcast. In 2005 be was extradited from NYC to Germany where he was imprisoned for holocaust denial.”

Rudolf is a German chemist and a controversial figure due to his involvement in Holocaust denial. He is most infamous for his publication, known as the "Rudolf Report," in which he attempts to challenge the evidence of gas chambers at Auschwitz during World War II. The announcement of a debate between Rudolf and a historian on World War II and related topics was the subject of Shields' discussion.
Amid all this, the former UFC fighter is also engaged in a war of words with prominent MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
Ariel Helwani declines the invitation to appear on former UFC fighter Jake Shields' podcast
The feud between Ariel Helwani and Jake Shields started when the latter accused Helwani of not inviting Belal Muhammad on his show because of Muhammad's Palestinian heritage.
Former UFC welterweight invited Helwani on his podcast to sort out the matter between them, but the MMA insider declined the invitation in his latest podcast episode and also slammed Shields for his anti-Israel rhetoric. Helwani said:
"I respectfully decline the invitation. If I would like to sit in a room across the table from someone who has the social skills of a drug addict on a three-day bender, I can just go downtown and check out the local crackhouse. I could do that. I could do that Jake, and just hang out with those people. I don't want to be in a room with you, I don't want to be in a room with someone who spews the nonsense and the bigotry that you spew."
