A former UFC welterweight recently took to X to continue his controversial crusade against all things Jewish and Israeli. This time it was in a tweet referencing hip hop star Kanye West, whose bank accounts were terminated by entities that Jake Shields, to no surprise, implies are Jewish.

He erroneously described West as a billionaire before claiming how dangerous it is that West, whose net worth is an estimated an $400 miillion, can have his bank accounts terminated. This, Shields argues is the reason West made the decision to enter politics, which saw him unsuccessfully run for U.S. president in 2020.

"Ye talks about how he decided to run for president after his bank accounts were shut off. He saw that the [they] could shut off his bank accounts for having the wrong opinions. If they can shut off a billionaire's bank accounts imagine what they can do to you."

West's downfall came as the result of numerous antisemitic statements made on his part. Shields has been accused of echoing similar statements. In fact, he is currently embroiled in a feud with well-known combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, who he has accused of blacklisting Belal Muhammad.

Helwani is Jewish, while Muhammad is Muslim and of Palestinian descent. Given the ongoing Israel-Hamas war that has led to various humanitarian crises in Palestinian territories, Shields sought to manufacture tension between Helwani and Muhammad, who aren't on good terms.

However, as it turns out, Helwani never blacklisted Muhammad. Instead, the reason the UFC welterweight champion has never been on his podcast is due to the latter's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, barring his fighters from the platform.

This isn't the first time the ex-UFC welterweight has supported Kanye West

One-time UFC welterweight title challenger Jake Shields is no stranger to heaping praise on Kanye West. Earlier this year, he issued a tweet expressing his approval of the rapper's tongue-in-cheek jab at Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Throwback to Kanye's brilliant performance art when he went on Alex Jones and mocked Bemjiman Netinuahu [Benjamin Netanyahu] with a net and a Yahoo [Yoohoo]."

For context, the rapper took part in an interview in 2022 with Alex Jones, during which he appeared with a net and Yoo-Hoo bottle, using both items as a play on words regarding Netanyahu's surname.
