A UFC veteran recently slammed Conor McGregor for his decision to pull out of UFC 303 after he had previously criticized Rafael dos Anjos for doing the same in the past. The Irishman was scheduled to make his highly anticipated octagon return this Saturday, however a broken toe has hindered those plans.

The criticism stems from 'The Notorious' planned bout against 'RDA' when they were both champions of their respective divisions. McGregor was set to move up to 155 pounds to challenge then-lightweight champion dos Anjos at UFC 196, but a broken foot forced the Brazilian to pull out and was replaced by Nate Diaz.

UFC veteran Matt Brown took aim at the former two-division champion for his decision as he believes dos Anjos was unfairly criticized for doing the same. During a recent episode of The Fighter vs The Writer, 'The Immortal' mentioned that McGregor's injury is unfortunate but believes he should have been more sympathetic towards the Brazilian. He said:

"Realistically, a broken toe is a perfectly fine reason to pull out of a fight. A fu**ing broken toe sucks. It hurts. You shouldn't go in with injuries like that...You can't put your weight on it, you can't move around...Foolish. Pull out of the fu**ing fight...No one with any sense is mad at you other than the fact that when Rafael dos Anjos did it with an actual broken foot, you were a f*cking di*k about it." Matt Brown believes a loss against Michael Chandler would be detrimental to Conor McGregor's career

Matt Brown weighed in on what is at stake for Conor McGregor when he returns to fight Michael Chandler.

During the aforementioned episode, 'The Immortal' brought up the Irishman's record in his past five bouts and mentioned that a loss to Chandler could be detrimental to McGregor's career and future bouts. He said:

"Realistically if he loses to Michael Chandler, his money fights from here on out would be the Jake Paul's, the fu**ing sideshow sh*t...They're not going to be meaningful fights, that's what I was getting at. He'll [McGregor] never have a meaningful fight again [if he loses]." [H/T MMA Fighting]
