UFC welterweight credits Brandon Moreno's coach for 'The Assassin Baby's' emphatic title win at UFC 283

Brandon Moreno was crowned the undisputed UFC flyweight champion at UFC 283 following a stellar performance against Deiveson Figueiredo. 'The Assassin Baby' displayed an evolved game as he opted to shoot for takedowns throughout the fight, something rarely seen in his prior fights against Figueiredo.

UFC welterweight Ramiz Brahimaj took to Twitter to comment on Moreno's victory, stating that the Mexican fighter's coach had not received the credit he deserved for the brilliantly devised game plan. 'The Assassin Baby' was able to stay one step ahead of his opponent and dominated Figueiredo for all three rounds.

Brahimaj described Moreno's head coach, Sayif Saud, as one of the most gifted minds in the sport:

"Huge congratulations to Brandon Moreno and coach @sayif_saud. Coach doesn’t get enough credit for masterminding game plans and literally bringing out the best in every single fighter he coaches. One of the true masterminds of MMA."

Brandon Moreno was forced to change coaches several months before UFC 283 as his coach at the time, James Krause, was caught in the middle of one of the biggest betting scandals in UFC history.

'The Assassin Baby' opted to move to Sayif Saud's gym, Fortis MMA, which has proved to be a successful transition.

As it turns out, Fortis MMA is the same gym that Ramiz Brahimaj trains at.

Brandon Moreno reflects on changes he made ahead of UFC 283

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo made UFC history this weekend as the pair were involved in the promotion's first-ever quadrilogy fight. The previous three fights included a win for each man, as well as a draw in their first fight. Bragging rights were on the line for whoever was able to claim victory at UFC 283.

Moreno secured the win via a doctor's stoppage at the end of Round 3, and the rivalry has officially ended after Figueiredo announced his move to bantamweight.

'The Assassin Baby' was interviewed by Megan Olivi following his win, where he commented on the difference in approach between the third and fourth fights:

"The main thing for this fight was to control my emotions, last fight against [Figueiredo] I was very emotional. I think that's the less-smart way to win the fight. This time I had a lot of control, and I'm a more complete fighter so I just needed to show that."
