Alibeg Rasulov talked about being "very motivated" heading into ONE Fight Night 26.
On July 5, Rasulov made his ONE Championship debut in the ONE Fight Night 23. The undefeated Turkish lightweight was scheduled to face former world champion Ok Rae Yoon for the division's interim title. Unfortunately, Rasulov missed weight for the matchup, making Ok the only fighter eligible to win gold.
Rasulov defeated Ok by unanimous decision, leaving the interim lightweight strap without an owner. Luckily for Rasulov, he was awarded an undisputed title shot against Christian Lee, which goes down in the ONE Fight Night 26 main event on Friday, December 6.
During an interview with ONE, Rasulov had this to say about his upcoming match with Lee:

"Yes, I’m very motivated. My latest fight was for an interim belt, and now I’m fighting the champion. My opponent is very good, champion in two weights, I’m very much motivated by that."
Christian Lee vs. Alibeg Rasulov will headline ONE Fight Night 26 inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America and Canada can watch Friday's event live and for free as it happens in U.S. Primetime.
Alibeg Rasulov looks to etch name into ONE Championship history
Alibeg Rasulov entered his ONE Championship debut with an undefeated record of 13-0. Fans didn't know what to expect from him due to his unknown background. He quickly put everyone on notice by defeating Ok Rae Yoon.
Christian Lee is widely considered one of the most important and accomplished fighters in ONE Championship. With a win against Lee, Rasulov would quickly separate himself as one of the most elite fighters in the promotion.
Lee's upcoming fight at ONE Fight Night 26 will be his first promotional appearance since November 2022. On that night, 'The Warrior' defeated Kiamrian Abbasov by fourth-round TKO to claim the welterweight MMA strap, officially making him a two-sport world champion.
Following a two-year layoff, Lee is ready to showcase how he's involved while working with his younger brother, Adrian Lee. The 26-year-old has plenty of time to further his already-legendary resume.
