An unhinged post-fight speech after a spectacular win has fetched MMA fighter Iyean Varela an abundance of bad press, with fight fans even questioning whether he is fit for such a sport.
Earlier this Sunday, Varela claimed his second professional MMA win at Fury FC 94, with a slick first-round guillotine submission over Emerson David Guerrero Garcia.

However, an otherwise spectacular win was overshadowed as the American had a meltdown in the cage during his post-fight interview. He vented his frustration in an explicit rant, saying:
"I'm f*****g heartbroken. Time out [said the fighter catching his breath]. The only reason I got into this sport was these f*****g stupid girls, who want to keep f*****g breaking my f*****g heart and my grandma f*****g died... So f**k off."

Apart from his spotless pro record, the fighter has a wealth of experience in the amateur ranks. From 2021 to 2023 he amassed a respectable amateur record of 5-3 and one no-contest, before turning pro at FightWorld 33 in March.
He trains out of Borg MMA under the guidance of former UFC flyweight contender Ray Borg.
